Brook by *Lupinator is a great example of how one can use the subject of the drawing as the frame as well. Excellent pencil-work!

E.D. - D.E. by *crystalclearink is probably one of the most candid I have ever read. It's exceptionally unique in the way it details emotion and the struggles of discovering and recovering from an eating disorder. It deserves exposure in that its influence should be spread to others who may be struggling in silence.

Tango 1 by ~Jefinski I love the perspective that this deviant chose when making this photo. The woman's blurred foot leads the eye directly to the dancing couple in the background, and the blur itself makes the viewers feel as if we were dancing as well. The old-fashioned feel that the sepia tone adds rounds out the photo beautifully.

I tried to make a "more than meets the eye" joke, but I couldn't because icon for transformers by ~ypf make a fantastic impact at first glance. Even a non-Transformers fan will appreciate the sleek techno style of these icons.

The Four Necessities. by *BellicoseButterfly is full of meaning and imagery. Beautifully drawn details with a surreal feeling.

Mill wheel by ~jerrywhite has got a strong contrast and plays with symmetry and assymetry at the same time. All of this and more in this artist's gallery. You must not miss it!

Norway 86 by *lonelywolf2: This artist really excels at the type of photography he does. His gallery is filled with outstanding photographs that bring landscapes to those of us with fewer opportunities to travel. Here is one of his exquisite Norwegian landscapes.

I could have chosen any vexel from ~AstridT's gallery, because they are all pretty amazing, but I chose Bonbon because the mood of the piece - the girl's expression and the colours and tones used - make it stand out to me.

The Frog Prince by ~redhed66 is a rather odd costume with a unique design and pulled off very well. It's witty, creative and I love the fact that they went all out shaving his head and painting his whole head and neck green.

This deceptively simple-looking image is a true testament to a talented fractalist..."making it look easy"! Red Sphere by ~Direct2Brain has terrific 'eye' appeal with it's perfectly clean resolution and interesting geometrical shapes... but, is truly impressive for the artist's innovation and attention to detail!

What human heart hasn't gone through this once or twice in their lifetimes?...~BlakSunKult narrates a story we all know, told with talent and skill. A most beautiful render to depict materia and textures, and turn them into feelings. Enjoy Substantia, and please give it fullscreen.

Inject is one sharp 3D wallpaper by ~Furumaru. Perfect modeling, great textures, and a clean render make this piece a standout. You may hate needles, but you'll love this wallpaper on your desktop.

Alcohol 2 by ~ian-moore has that illustrative quality, like a front piece for an article in a glossy periodical, or for a postbill for a new theater show coming to town (except without all that distracting text). Stylistically it has its own character, but I can see hints of Steadman in there, albeit just a touch.

Featured by `zeruch
Kami no Ongaku Matsuri by ~DigitalOme His sense of perspective and motion is absolutely amazing. The depth created by the slightly blurred background and sharpened foreground is almost like as if he had taken a snapshot of some whimsical dreamscape.

While some other pieces from this gallery also deserved the feature, this suggested deviation shows a detailed view of the delicate and imaginative work characteristic of ~Sleetwealth. Dryad Lianna is delicious.

Life Circle 3 by ~triggertamay displays great use of angle and scale to bring about an abstraction while retaining movement and form in the subject matter. This one caught my eye right off the bat.
