A gritty style, harsh shadows and killer angle highlight which shoe to eat first by *napkinboi

Guitar 05 by ~citronicstock is an unusual stock photograph. It was suggested to me as a piece that would make a nice vector. The over sized object and the model's far-away look add both drama and mystery, which I like.

Anthro Tournament Colored by ~WolfLSI is one beefy cat! And if you want more, there's plenty of muscular gentlemen in this artist's gallery!

ZDL GOLD STACK REEL-TO-REEL is a winamp skin, with a lot going on but ~mikezee it off without making it look cluttered, or tacky. Smooth animation and a consistent color theme really make this a winner.

As winning entry in the Special Anthro Week, let me quote *LeonaWindrider presenting her piece "Heart of Courage - Final Cover": "Here we come to my suggestion from my own gallery, which I must admit that I'm still shy about submitting as a hopeful DD. To say I worked my butt off for this pic would be an understatement. This is the first picture that I've ever fully and completely rendered in digital form, and I have to tell you that not having any formal training in Photoshop at all was a great challenge here. Over the month and a half that it took to paint this, my painting skills in Photoshop actually evolved and I had to go back to earlier parts of the picture as a result. While I can quite frustratingly point out every single flaw in the entire painting , I can secretly say to you that I'm proud that I stuck such a large endeavour through the end. I feel like I've got my own blood, sweat and tears mixed in with that digital paint."

I think this piece is just so warm in many aspects, Flare by ~PlushKittie is beautiful and soft, I really fell for the rainbow hair.

Rich with detail and exploding from the frame, Part I "Introitus" by ~Seitou is a must see! By using muted colors, the artist has really captured the elegance of the character in this piece while still keeping her full of mystery and fantasy.

Super Smash Bros: Onslaught by *CytosisX

Spaghetti016 says: "This is by far the single greatest bit of fan art that I have seen to date on Deviantart. Seriously, there is no one on DA that should be hidden from such greatness. It took this man 2 whole years, a huge heart, and some great patience to get through it. Please take a good long look at it, and hopefully you'll see it the way that I see it."

*grinagog is an extremely talented fractal artist and has some wonderfully rich & detailed pieces in his gallery. This particular one, bamboozle, shows not only a terrific grasp of a particular technique, but is also a fantastic fractal recreation of bamboo!

Insecurities by ~xXPrettyWhenUCry: Even when including but three words, without fail a picture is still worth a thousand more. The unapologetic color and harsh exposure communicate plenty, but some of the more subtle details, such as the chipped black fingernail polish and the visible tan line, support the intent of this image in a less obvious way.

=Rikyo has many great comics & character designs in his gallery, but OC Battle2::Rd 1 was too silly to pass up!

"I feel in love with the piece poisin reign by =deadsumo the first time I saw it, the soft colors, the composition, the makeup and the expression of the model just make it a complete artwork. Another add in this list of what makes this piece so great is the title - there are two meanings found in it, poison rain refering to the piece itself and poisin reign refering to the model and the interpretation of the piece."

The Carnivorous Sundew Fairy by *Doodledy is a wonderfully imaginative work of art that shows us not all fairies are cute and sweet. Her expression is perfect, and the use of greens and the soft background really add to the overall feeling of the image.
